I have an instant hot water system that I installed a little over two years ago. I started to notice water leaking out under the sink and traced it down to our instant hot water tank. Our tank is a 2/3 gallon model sst. I called the 800 number on the label of the tank and was able to get a customer service representative live within a few minutes. I called at 7:30AM Los Angeles time on the hunch that I might beat the US West coast but the line would be open. I didn't have a receipt, but I was willing to go with the manufacturing date. There is a three year warranty on my tank. They gave me the option of installing myself with a gift card or having a service call. I elected to have them send me a new tank at no charge. This is the way it should be. I'm very impressed. A three year warranty is fine, and the fact that InSinkErator didn't force the issue with the receipt was very nice. The dispensers are a bit spendy these days, but with this level of customer service it is worth it.
